A
week after the completion of Driving NC II, the participants applied for Skills
Assessment on Driving NC II. They prepared themselves with the review of the
Core , Basic and Common Competencies.
The
pressure to do their best during the Skills Assessment started to build-up. Reviews
and oral institutional assessment were conducted. Included in the review were
the repair and maintenance of vehicles, traffic rules, handling emergency
situations and moving a vehicle.
A
TESDA Assessment officer, Engr. Rony Cabigas,
conducted the assessment for 32 candidates. There were a few who did not show
up during the assessment. The activity is now recorded in the history of
Bongdo, that after Tyhoon Yolanda, a TESDA registered and assisted program, was
conducted in the hinterlands of Borbon. This is an indication of the resolve of
the leaders of the community to rise from the ruins brought about by Typhoon
Yolanda.
